I would like to know if you can print a decent quality A1 size photo from the Canon 350D.....I have tried to find out on the web, but no-where gives you a straight answer

A1 size will give you a resolution of 100dpi (dots per inch) with a full size 350D image, which is a bit on the low quality side for printing.

Do bear in mind that if you view an image on your monitor at 100%, that is around 70dpi (for most monitors). If your image looks ok, viewed at 100% on your monitor, it would probably be ok at A1.

Depends on what sharpness and quality you like and also the distance at which you wish to view the image. I've never done a print over 8x10 inch myself. That said I have seen photo's on display at A0 size out of a 4 megapixel camera that I thought looked quite good. I wouldn't mind knowing myself now that it has been brought up. Anyone out there doing huge prints out of their 8 megapixels ?

My next problem is where to put a photo that dang big lol. Although I wouldn't mind doing a nice large panorama landscape pretty big.
