hey guys,
let me start off by saying I AM NOT A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER. I have been working under a pro for a bit and trying to really find my own feel and look. The photographer I work with has her own style, I have mine, but try to combine both so that everyone is happy. This wedding I did SOLO, and while it was a small wedding (no bridal party, nothing big or fancy), it was still stressful. The risk is definitely worth the reward, the hard work paid off when I delivered the images and the bride was overjoyed (that, or she's a great actress).

Anyway, I figured I would share a few of my favorites with you guys. I have A LOT to learn, but I was happy the way it came together. if anyone wants to see more, just lmk and i'll link you to the gallery. pointers/ comments/ whatevs, it's all good, im here to learn. I feel like I could take a lot of my images to the next level by adding texture and tones...I guess when I get some free time I'll start dabbling with that.

It might have something to do with the compression of the photo when uploaded, but there were a few of the original ones that you posted that the bokeh seemed overwhelming.

I liked them all. The only one that I would modify would be the cake cutting one. A tighter crop would remove the person on the right.

thanks for the pointers. the photographer I work for usually has this style so I try to mimic it. I'm usually a fan of 'no lean' but when the two photographers work comes together it's easier for them to blend into each other (if that makes sense).

Congrats on a successful first solo wedding. It's WAY harder shooting solo, and so I always take a second shooter or assistant with me whenever I can. Just splits the workload up a little bit. The detail shots look awesome, and that 1.4 shot is great too. I think the 'fake bokeh' is probably just jpeg compression, it happens. Well done.
