Very nicely done. Any particular reason for the added shoulder bulk? Doesn't look terribly aerodynamic friendly.

I know. But I would've assumed that they may have just gotten refueling privileges from our tankers that are always around. Maybe I'm over-thinking this diplomacy thing?

The conformal tanks serve a specific purpose in the UAE mission. More loiter time and UAE's specific lack of air-to-air refueling.

Also, countries like Israel use them to fit more underwing ordinance on along with loiter time.

These aircraft have been training out of Tucson Air Guard base for quite some time now. As of the end of this month they are heading back to the UAE. That's why they are so loaded down with fuel tanks. They normally only fly with the conformal tanks.
