If you are in the military keep a eye on AAFES online. I just bought a 5DmkII body only for $2117. Originally it was $2,349.00 but they had a 10% discount online that ran for a couple days. The camera is still cheaper then most of the other popular vendars.

wow, that's a great price. Isn't AAFES usually more expensive?

I'm going to have to look for the 10-20% coupon, the 24-105F4LIS and 70-200F4IS would be a good buy. Are you looking at the exchange for the coupons, I'm going to search online.

found a 10% coupon, that 15mm canon fisheye is looking really good. Ill probably hold off for a 20% coupon. They just upped my star card to like $3000 also:/ I better not check the site. I still don't really know how that card works I bought my TV from them with it because I got 10% off a sale price and it was the only decently priced TV and got 6 months no interest. Wander if any of the lenses or anything is like that.

Do you have to be on current duty in the military? My cousin was in the army just a while back on duty, can he use AAFES?

I didn't have a coupon, I wish I did. They just had a discount code that was good until 4 Oct. I am currently deployed and put the extra money away. Nothing to spend money on here since I quite smoking. I wish they would advertise the 7D body only then I would definitely pick that up for sports photography and have the best of all worlds.

I got a killer deal with the loyalty program, but for 2117 I would have forked out the little more for a warranty and new:/ Oh well.

I ended up using a coupon for that 7D w/28-135 lens. The deal I got was good. They had camera priced at 1749. I got 200 off that price. Brought it down to 1549. Then I sold the lens for 300. Picked up the 7D for 1249. Not a bad price for it.

these coupons usually have maximum discount of $200, so there's no benefit waiting for a higher percentage coupon - *usually* . :)

Current coupon good until Oct 11th for 15% off is X292vip. Max discount is $500 so the 5D body comes out to $1996.65 shipped. Very good deal.
