I hate myself for not doing my research. I payed $100 for my loyalty one.
Im going to use the 15% and pick up a lens.

Current coupon good until Oct 11th for 15% off is X292vip. Max discount is $500 so the 5D body comes out to $1996.65 shipped. Very good deal.

wow thank you, going to get my cousin right now to order it for me, hope it works!

I didn't have a coupon, I wish I did. They just had a discount code that was good until 4 Oct. I am currently deployed and put the extra money away. Nothing to spend money on here since I quite smoking. I wish they would advertise the 7D body only then I would definitely pick that up for sports photography and have the best of all worlds.

so are they out of stock, or do they not offer the 7D (body only) at all?

I bought my 7D from them about a year ago when they had a 20% off coupon, so they must just be out of stock. They only carry the kit, but I sold my lens on CL and saved myself even more $$.

I might pickup a 7D next time a 15-20% coupon rolls around as a backup body if my 50D can ever get gone. Just nervous that I won't be able to sell the lens though.

Under 2K for a new 5DmkII is one hell of a deal. I can't complain though what I paid. Just can't wait to get home from this deployment to play with it.

I just found out that the Canon Cameras are shipping from the Japan warehouse. That code is good through today and upto $500 off. $1996 for the 5DmkII new. Just over 800 for the 100L Macro 2.8. My wife would so kill me if I ordered that as well.

Well My new camera made it to Germany. My wife picked it up from the post office and I got to see it on webcam. I feel like a new parent of a 5DmkII. Only 4 more weeks and I will be home to see it in person. Shipped from AAFES on 5 Oct and was in my mail box on 27 Oct. Not great but not bad conisdereing it was $1997.00. Well worth the little extra wait. Free shipping and no tax, you got to love it.
