I was exited to goto the air show Saturday with my 1DMIV and my 500mm. Except I forgot to remove my Canon extender 1.4x II. I had no clue it was on until I got home that night and it was a mostly crappy grey day. (Not so great for a TC)
So I shot the whole thing @ 700mm.

1/1250 for a shot with a prop plane is a tad too fast...but u probably already know that ;-)a

They look OK to me. Look on the bright side; You didn't leave the underwater housing on?

I have half an airplane in most pictures. Took a big contrast hit because of the TC.

Would have liked to have seen more prop blur in the first, but otherwise I think they look good!

BTW, "I messed up" still gets the point across and doesn't break any forum rules.

What would be the optimal shutter speed for the prop blur while still photographing a jet @ 500mph?
