I think they are pretty good. I'm just diving into OCF myself. Did you use any modifiers?

#4 seems especially well lit, where #5 the lighting is a little flat (to much the same on both sides).

The backdrop really detracts from what could be really great shots. Note the difference between shots 2 and 3. Both were shot at F4 but he's too close to the background in #2 so we see all that detail. In #3 he's much farther away and while you can still see some background detail it's much less distracting. Try getting the model further from the backdrop and minimize the DOF to get that detail to melt away.

I agree, great if it wasn't for that bg. The only other irritation was the drool on his sweat shirt which made him look unwashed.
