I'm looking for cheap flash that will produce consitent light and will recharge in 1-3 seconds.. It does not have to be adjustable, but has to recharge in 1-3 seconds. I bough this http://www.adorama.com/LTACS.html (external link) from adorama, and it's cheap but does not recharge fast enough.

Is there something I can use and maybe set it at 1/2 or 1/4 power to help it recharge faster? This will be used in photobooth so I need consistent light every 2-3 seconds for 3-5 shots.

Thanks for any input!

I see that you have the 58EX and the 540EZ. Why can't you use one of those flashes for your photobooth? Set to 1/4 or lower (which should be more than enough for a photobooth), the flash should be able to recycle in less than 2 or 3 seconds for 5 or more shots. And if you need faster recycling (1 second or less), you can plug in an external battery pack.

If I cant find a cheap-er way I'll do that. I'll just buy 1-2 more 540ez flashes and use those, but I dont want to be buying extra power packs. Running on just batteries I'm running risk of missed shots...

Something around $100 would be ideal... and something that does not use batterie, but rather I can plugg into the wall :)
