This is more of a 550D vs. D3100. But @ 5:03, there's a brief clip of the "continuous AF" in video shot w/ the D3100.

Unfortunately, it performed as bad (and seemingly worse) than I expected. Looks like we'll have to wait for the next generation (or the generation AFTER) for more usable AF. :lol:

Haven't seen a video clip taken w/ the A55.

(I personally don't care for continuous AF at this time. I like to have the control of where I want the focus to be. But since continuous AF seems to be the next "selling point", I am curious as to how the manufacturers plan to implement it how well it could actually perform.)

Haha. Cool. Digitalrev joins POTN! Let me take a look. Any plans on reviewing the Sony A55 too? Or has it already been done?

Saw the A33 review. Guess it works much better for Sony's design/implementation. :D

ah that's disappointing :( was kinda hopeing it would work better. 5D mark 3 maybe ?
