I looked at this for awhile and would personally be thrilled with this picture. I think the composition is very good, but because mom dominates the scene for my eyes, perhaps there could have a been a way to bring more visual balance to the son... not sure. You could argue this would be a more compelling picture if the son were cropped out. Son seems a touch OOF, so perhaps a smaller aperture for this type of scene. That said, the moment happened, the lines in the picture arranged themselves for the shot, and you got it, so really great work.
