Gimme a break. It's raining. :) Felt like experimenting a little. (I know LordV has done this a couple of times)

Cleaning out the fridge, found some mouldy cake. Ever wondered what mould looks like at 1:1, 3:1, and 5:1 lifesize? I did.

Sounds disgusting at first, but I think at this scale it's beautiful. Kind of like some alien forest.

Had a crack at focus stacking some shots. Failed terribly. Again. These are all single shots.

1:1 lifesize:

Those are great, never really spend much time looking at mould. Generally it'a an "Eww!" and into the bin. I think I'll check under our sofa later, the kids bound to have a sandwich stashed somewhere.

That first 5:1 shot is really neat. Any chance of lightening up the last shot? It might be pretty cool too, but it's too dark to see anything.
