Why the big pricing difference on Profotos?

I have the Summer 2010 catalog and it has the Acute2 2400w/s pack and two heads for $3,200 where online it's $4,100 and the D4 pack is listed at $5,900 where online it's $7,500.

Did prices go up that much in just a few months? I haven't even received their new catalog yet.

My village called. I was told that they missed me.

But that's a huge difference in pricing. Never seen them change by that much.

I used to work at a surveying engineering company. When I first started, I use to work on their database, managing the inventory and prices on their stock. The store prices would reflect the manufacturer/distributors price, so the prices would vary daily. I have seen big changes, from hundreds to thousands, though not as significant as B&H. I would think that maybe an error was found on their printed catalog.
