I am sad because I just gave notice to my employer of the past 9 years. It will be sad to say goodbye to good co-workers and friends.

But I am also very happy because I got a new job that will provide me with new oportunities and challenges as well as a handsome raise in salery ;) This means that I soon will be able to buy a couple new lenses :D

I am jealous. :~(

Only because you get new challenges and opportunities, I'd was sad having to leave my last job, most of my best friends were there... Then they broke up the band by moving the office to Las Vegas. Now I'm stuck at a boring job... well, it does leave me more time to surf POTN.

Thanks for looking!

I know how you feel, Tommy as I only have 1 week left at my current employer of 12 years, and then it's off to new adventures to my new job!! Mixed emotions for sure...

Thanks all.

No I am not interested in 5D, if I upgrade my 20D it will be to a 1D MK II (N). I'll see in 3 months time if I do that or buy a couple new lenses instead and wait with the 1D

Congrats Tommy.

Very recently (few days ago) I turned down a job offer with big promotion and big salary increase. One of the reasons (but not the main one) is that my colleagues are super.

Good Luck on the new job. I know how you feel. Exactly a year ago I gave notice to an employer that I had been with since February 1985. After 19 years I decided it was time to move on and I love the new job and opportunities.

Good move, Tommy. I'm sure your former employer will soon realize what a bargain they had with you, and will regret not moving you ahead in the company.

Maybe you'll use some of this newfound wealth to visit the west coast of the USA. If so, we'd love to meet you and maybe show you around.

Thanks, I still have up to 2 months left in my current job and my employer asked yesterday what they could do to keep me. But the offer from the new company is so good that it would be insane if my current employer tries to top that ;) If they did the CEO probably had to approve it first

The new job will most likely give me the oportunity to goto San Diego for education, something my current employer is very reluctant to do, they only want to send me on education in Europe preferably in Copenhagen which is kind of silly because the travel expenses to US is not that much greater than to any other European country.

Thanks for the offer, I will keep that in mind.
