400D Battery problem

I find that my 400D has a short battery life. I haven't actually kept a close track of the number of images, but I would say that the battery life is about 50 shots. I have two batteries, so I am able to work around this because I usually don't shoot a large number of shots. I am not using flash.

I am assuming that the charger is ok, because the camera indicates full charge, but I am not completely confident that this is necessarily true.

I did reduce the screen illumination and time on to lower values and that did help some.

Any ideas???

How old are your batteries?? Batteries don't last forever..

Go out and buy another battery, even two.. It doesn't matter if they're third party..

You are correct, on half of the problem.

One battery is older, one is new. In fact, I certainly would go for a third battery as one solution.
