Had some friends ask me to do some portraits of their new additions. These are my first baby portraits for other people and I'd love some C&C.
Thanks!

Curtis

Curtis #2 is asking "... do we really need to do the photo thing today?"
Juliette #1 is overexposed. I really like #2 but I would crop her moms skin.

The first three seem to be at an odd angle for me. I like the last one, peaceful.

#4 is a winner for me. As already mentioned: the other three are a bit at an odd angle and not very flattering. In #2 it looks as if the baby has not got a neck.....and the expression - I know hard to change... - is also not very flattering.

I agree that the first three are at an odd angle, and number four seems very relaxed.

First thing that threw me was those wild angles. However, it would be unfair to hurl the "snapshot" phrase at you as these are obviously quality images, just got to look at them a bit longer.

I can see how some would think odd angle but I liked them all -- especially the last one.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I can totally see the odd angle comment from so many of you. I was trying to capture these two, wide-awake, two week olds in confined pockets of natural light with a crop sensor without blocking the light.
Still tons to learn of course about posing, composition, exposure etc. of course.
Any thoughts on postproduction?
