Unless this camera will be a dedicated macro camera, you could find other uses for it. This might put the edge on the FF for you, etc. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery

Macro is my 1st priority and having a camera specifically for that purpose is important for me. For cropping purposes and high resolution, yes the FF might be better suited for "my" needs. The 5DmkII also having video is a plus, I would use it for sure. Guess the answer is as follows, for my macro needs, 5DmkII fits. Cameras - 1DMKIV - 1DMKII - 7D W/Grip
