I know many of the members here use the Black Rapid Straps, but I ordered the one for Ladies, as I am one, and I hope it's as useful. I'm planning on using it with my 7D with 70-200 2.8 Is attached - on the lens tripod ring. Is that how you carry yours?

I attach my RS-W1 to the camera body. My first outing with it was five continuous hours of picture taking with a Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM attached. Didn't really have any complaints. Of course, I don't own a lens tripod ring so I didn't have much choice about it either. ;)

Thanks Sirene. I'm going to get the shipment later this week, so I'll keep everyone posted. I've toyed with the RS for a while, but I love my POTN strap. Just can't stand the weight of 2 cameras around my neck, even with the 2 camera adapter.

That's precisely how I carry either my 70-200 or 100-400 on my Black Rapid straps...

(Not exactly the clearest picture...)

Thanks, Jon. That's what I wanted to see. I'm going to be using my 7D with 70-200 2.8 Is or 100-400 for soccer the next few weeks and the neckstrap isn't doing it for me with 2 cameras. Thanks. I will definitely use it and with the tripod attachment, it would be very useful.

I use mine for the 70--200 on the 5D2 or 7D regularly, I do not, however attach it to the lens but to the body.

Thanks Crissa. I've been using the POTN strap for 5 years and love it still, but I need at least one of these for the way I shoot sports. When I am not using more than one camera at a shoot, I will stay with the neckstrap. The problem with the 100-400 is that the tube extends if I don't support it. This may be the answer. Good to try, at least, and that lens, the lens collar is the way to go.
