I was on my way to Cape Blomidon in Nova Scoatia, to see what the fall colours were like when I happened on this wharf with the fishing boats tied up alongside at low tide.

Not sure if this really works, they were backlit by the morning sun, and in the shadow. I did not notice how bright the sunlight made the port and starboard running light show up until I was processing the image.

Take with a t2i and a sigma 17-70 os.

Does this work for you?? Let me know what you think.

I admit it is distracting, it was not possible to get to another spot to take the picture. Thanks for your reply.

That shot might have been a good candidate for HDR with the sun blowing out the sky...

Revisited this capture with Lightroom 3.

Vegetation still intruding on the picture but I think that the rest of it cleaned up quite well.
