Not much to do during mid-day with bad light and haze, so took a few shots of the classic scene from 'Forrest Gump' when he was making his run. Just a kill-some-time shot, for which you definitely need a lookout. Mile marker 13 at Monument Valley...

For sure...the ones coming at you aren't a problem, its the ones from behind ;) . Had a spotter, and we swapped off to give each other time. This is one where you pre-set your camera/lens ahead of time to dial in your hyperfocal settings, then run out and plant the tripod.

Love that view. Funny thing about that area, everyone goes to see/shoot MV, but there is much more around there that is worthy of attention.

I agree...all one has to do is look around beyond the obvious. Myself and two friends had this spot to ourselves (for a bit) and took our respective turns. You know what happens when carloads of folks go by and see others shooting...soon, everyone stops.
