So after the Reno Air Races had finished, my brother and i walked around the flight line taking pics. My brother found this angle of a Viper on the ramp and I took a few shots from different angles with the Reno home pylon in the background.

Choose your favorite and vote, because I'm stuck and am not sure which one I like more...plus, I've never posted a poll before :D

I voted for 2, for a number of reasons.

Mainly because I couldn't vote for myself.

Secondly: The first one would look a lot better if you could lift the shadows a bit to bring out some more detail on the underside.

The second shot would be even better, IMO, if you had got the whole plane in

I'm not sure why I didn't go for the last one. I think it's the light in Number 2 that did it for me :)

Yep. #2 is the clear winner, IF you hadn't cut off the wing.

You could probably make up for some of it if you took #1 and cropped it like #2 (except keeping the wing this time) and bringing up the exposure by 0.5 stop. But you may run into some noise issues.

I'm taking 2. Reason: Better exposure. I would prefer a better crop, not taking off the wing tip and tail, but not as wide as #1, with the exposure of 2.

My take of #1. (be easier to recover and improve if I had the RAW)

I personally like #3 the best. I just wish that grille wasn't on the air intake.

Fantastic composition there. The lines of the plane draw me into the photo and towards the pylon, whilst in the other comps the lines from the f16 draw my eye to the edge of the image, which isn't so hot.

I like #1 the best, but can you clone out the Nikon ad or replace it with a Canon banner? :D:D:D

Canon XTi / 55-250mmIS / NiftyFifty / 75-300mm / 430EX II / hopefully a whole lotta luck
