This is part of my 'The Road Less Traveled' project. I love taking the road less traveled and like showing people what they are missing by taking the easy road :)
Went for a bike ride tonight to a road that has been closed for a few years now. This road becomes impassable as soon as there is a slight bit of rain. The bridge over Bear Creek is crumbling and is not a priority to fix right now.

Just looking to get your thoughts on the edit. SOOC and the edit.

Please translate "SOOC".

Pretty colors... Looks like you took this minutes before the sun went over the horizon. I wish there was some detail in the cornfield.

How about showing us a photo of the bridge over Bear Creek?

Nice shot - I like it fine with the corn in silhouette, but I also like the original sky a more than the edited one, which might be a little overdone. I'd suggest that something between the original and edit might be better. Following up on ChasP505's request, here it is with details restored using Photoshop's highlights/shadows adjustment, plus a curves adjustment, and a slight color and saturation adjustment for the cornstalks (I'm not sure if they should look green or tan - I went with green here).

I was looking more for losing the details in the corn, just leaving a little so it's not all black. Wasn't the nicest looking field.

This photo has potential! I like it! I made a very high contrast BW conversion layer and then pulled back the opacity.

The cornfield sunset, while pretty, has no point of interest for me. Maybe if there was a weathered old barn or something...
