I love the idea BUT:
Your water turned from a bluish purple to turquoise on my screen - are you on an uncalibrated monitor?

when you upped the saturation, did you just use the saturation slider? or did you do it by specific colour?

Unfortunately I don't have a very good monitor.I am in the process of replacing my dinosaur desktop. After viewing on a better monitor I agree with the water color being off. Saturation and hue was done by specific color.

Have you got the means to calibrate it?
The best monitor won't help you if you cannot calibrate it.
