So if you had forfeit, minimize, consolidate for whatever purposes your gear to just 1 lens & 1 body. What would your photographic weapon of choice be, and why that particular setup ?

for me it would be the 5Dmk2+50L
I think personally I can manage to do just about everything and anything on this setup for my likes & purposes.
Of course there would be a little movement going closer to the subject and further apart, but it delivers.

Depends on what you shoot.
For me, it would be one of my 1DMk2 bodies, and the 70-200 2.8L, because I can shoot general purpose stuff, as well as portraits, and sports with that setup.

I'd go with a 1Ds III and a 70-200 2.8mkII

Painful choice as I really like having something around 20-24mm as well, but the rules are the rules.

(I have the 5DII, and f4 IS right now, but if were hypothesizing, why not go all out)

Since I do mostly portraits, 5D MKII (If I had one, I only have the 5Dc) and an 85L

5D2 35L

I like a wider perspective and I do a fair amount of low light stuff.
