One thing I don't mind investing in is glass. I know I could get back at least a 90%-95% return.

If you thought North Face was expensive, you should look at Arcteryx stuff. I don't mind saving a bit of moeny if I can find a deal. My mindset is different but, I don't splurge like I used to.

I saw some pretty good Sierra bags and jackets on sale..and they are cheaper than north face. I am pretty familiar with North Face, I dunno but many of those available here are made in Vietnam... if that's what you also have there then they are not really that nice. I just couldn't justify a bag that would cost around $200 and the zipper handle is made of rope or those generic zippers.

I am pro expensive stuff as long as they are worth it..why would I buy a $2000 D700 if I don't think its worth it.

think about it, what you deemed as normal is already a luxury to us, so a luxury to you is already too much for us here hehe... maybe that's why I think like this

yes, you're right. there are some brands that i think are inferior to lesser priced. i've always been on the fence about shoes here. we constantly have salt all over the roads/sidewalks in the winter. so i tend not to buy super expensive shoes. sunglasses were expensive because they were Rx burberry's.

never get between a woman and her purses and shoes.

ahaha I now let the GF buy the purse that she can afford... before I used to get mad at their prices... we are not really talking expensive here, just around $100-200. but its already half my monthly salary

yes, it's a difference of culture and growing up.

i was incredibly, beyond beyond, isanely spoiled growing up. both my parents worked and my grandma was well off so there was always money around, especially when i hit my teens. i remember one christmas, having presents 10 feet deep around the christmas tree when i was like 5.

i was a spoiled little brat until about 3 years ago when i went to argentina. it totally changed my perspective. i dont think i deserve/am owed anything nice. but i know what it's like to be without even if just for a month. i literally had one change of clothes with me, food, and water. that's it.

and for the record, if i want something nice now, i buy it myself.

I could never pull of pink. I can definitely do a shirt and tie combo but, that's it.

steven, i dont believe you can jump that high.
