Was recently asked on short notice to shoot this charity event. It was my first time doing this kinda thing but I plan on getting all the experience I can to get better. I was quite pleased with what i got in the end, considering my expectations wernt very high to start with haha. There ended up being very little light at the venue so when i wasnt using my flash i found myself yearning for a 5D/7D with some great high iso capabilities.
..anyway, here we go. please critique.
(a thread with 8 photos is ok right?)

thanks for the input. ya, it does look a bit too orange. the other photographer at the event was supposed to handle eveything besides the group photos so I just tried to come up with some shots that didnt look exactly like hers. still not sure if i like that white balance though.. only the lights look nice to me.

I like them too, very slick.

The only crit I have is the event itself, it is a very large dancefloor!
