Best diffuser?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Lumiquest Big Bounce? I'm currently using the standard Lumiquest Soft Box, but I'd really like to achieve softer results than I currently am, so I'm wondering if the Big Bounce would do the job.

In a shot of Igor Siwanowicz (http://photo.net …er-photos?user_id=1783374) at work, he appears to be using something similar to the Big Bounce, and his images have exactly the kind of diffusion I'm after.

it would depend on what and where you are shooting, it looks very large and would get in the way if you were out in the field hunting bugs.
would be ok for your mantids

I agree with both. That's a pretty unwieldy-looking rig.

That link to Igor Siwanowicz's macro work... It's phenomenal. I'm still going to have to agree with the above statement, I made this one to use with my 105.. By using the bounce head and twisting the diffuser, I got a lot of control, and it let me get a lot of good shots. It's fairly efficient with light loss as well. Here are some shots I just got two days ago using it

I made this one for my old Sigma 18-50 macro, it isn't efficient with light but it worked well enough. I have used it on my Sigma 105 recently, but I haven't uploaded the images. It is great for small subjects and, because the light is so close to the lens, it allows me to shoot in much tighter places then the diffuser. Here are some shots I got with it with my 18-50 though.

Big diffuser, but too far away and you still end up with smallapparent light size.
