Here are a few shots of the last Juvie RubyThroat that I've had visit my feeders lately.
They all seem to be gone now but I have a few more of this series I'll be posting later.

Eight 580EXIIs - ouch, my pocketbook!

Outstanding results Jim - tack sharp and beautiful detail.

Out of curiousity, how fast can you shoot with such a multi-flash set-up? At f22 I am guessing you are getting one shot off and having to wait a second or two to shoot again?

funny how you say ouch with the 8 580exII.... but the lens and camera is about 10K more then all the flash together.

Thanks Jeff....yep, hits the old pocketbook pretty hard indeed......
I'm using several different Quantum battery packs to power the flashes so there's really not much lag in the recycling.....
I can usually get about 5~6 shots off in rapid sucession before any of the flashes start bogging down......:)

Wow, amazing shots. (And some serious equipment!) The 5th shot is my favorite.
