Do any of you use flash to fill or is it just a process of getting the correct light to cover the model and not completely blow out the picture.

never use flash or fill... expose to the face... then say a prayer.

What's everyone's favorite lens for sun flare?

I tried using my 35L, but I found it controlled for flare too well! I think my 50mm f/1.4 is much better at NOT blocking the flare.

You're killing me here, Phil.

That's funny..........and discouraging.

[QUOTE=hyogen;15597019]A reminder to all to use live-view when shooting sun flare shots...! I was seeing lots of black dots after taking pics of these. Especially bright on my new pentaprism mirror.....not a good idea -_- It's quite unsafe to look at the sun through the viewfinder.

Um, just learn how to shoot properly. I 'm pretty sure sun flare shots were around LONG before LV. Stop making up reasons to use LV.

Funny! You could add "roll the dice" to this also.;)
