Hello everyone. Here is a pic that my wife took a few years back with a P&S. I was browsing through my old pics and wanted to clean these up. While doing so I thought that the pic might look pretty good in B&W.

The wife and I are split. I like the B&W and the wife likes the color. I did crop the B&W a little tighter than the original color one.

C&C is appreciated

Then the color wins :p

Color. I can't quickly and easily tell from the B&W if the dog is simply B&W or if indeed the dog has different color fur. I'm sure some expert will chime in, but the lack of midtones, the blown highlights and strong contrast makes this a weaker candidate for B&W.

The colour one for me, without a doubt. The colours on his head, and especially his eyes are really nice. This is lost in the bw.

Print color for the wife then B&W for you. You always need to make the wife happy; especially when you want a new lens.

Both! but I'd leave the crop the same for the B&W as it was for the color!

I am drawn to the eyes in the color image. It makes me wonder what he is so focused on. A bone perhaps...
