Well I got my 7D in the mail today from the loyalty program, so I figured I would test it out. When I was up in one of my favorite overlooks taking landscapes, I heard the distinct whine of a triple engine (I had/have a Daytona 675, but it caught fire and is totaled). This guy comes around the corner and stops. We talk for a bit and I ended up doing a mini impromptu photoshoot and tried to get some panning shots. Made me realize that I should probably get some gels for my flash, and I need more practice.

If I would have had more preparation and had I known what I was doing with the 7D and had it sorted out, I think I could have done a little better. While this was the same location where I did the good shots of my bike and my friend's mustang, we couldn't get down below the fence. So there were a lot of trees and poles growing everywhere. Hard to find a decent angle at that spot. I gave him my contact info and we are going to do a proper shoot at a later date and at a better location.

Nice shots of a great bike, I'd love a 7D or a StripleR!

#1 makes me dizzy. #5 is a nice shot. I'd crop some off the bottom.

Maybe if it was sharper. Mini-moo business card maybe once I start charging? I'm still working on my panning. Got a ways to go yet. I kind of wish I would have put a zoom lens on for the panning rather than keeping my 30mm prime. That picture was cropped as it was in the first post. But, it's a learning process.

So any CC on these? I already know that I'll need gels if I'm going to shoot at sunset with flash since the light is so much different.

A little more on just the helmet would work for me...

I like the warm light so I'd just warm up the flash a bit, but...

3. This shot is the one that needed a gel the most

...I wouldn't warm it up too much.
