I'm interested in this lens but I'm definitely waiting for the reviews before I put $850 into a lens. maybe you're right... i'll do just that then. For 849.99 and a tokina name, i'm expecting the lens to be stupid sharp, have a great color rendition, and have low amount of distortion. It's a great competitor to the Canon 16-35 and it might just eat up canon's business just like the Tokina 11-16mm vs Canon 10-22mm. I'm MARLON
