Weekend shots C&C wanted

I took these at a soccer tournament this weekend. They were taken with my 20d and Sigma 100-300mm f4 during half time of one of the games. Let me know what you think of them and what you think of my conversions.

All work as done in LR.

I love the second one in B&W really shows the emotions they are showing. Great pics.

I like both of your conversions better than full color. Both for two different reasons.

As Mallorie pointed out .. BW brings out the emotions in #1. You couldn't be more right.
And the second, the sepia fits the harsh lighting better. The dark shadows are now more palatable.

The second conversion is my favorite. I think the first could use a little more contrast, I'm finding it looks too grey for my taste.
