Here are 5 random photos that I snapped during Thanksgiving weekend. A couple of them have been touched up with a small boost to saturation. Thoughts? What can I do better next time?? Thanks!

I really like #2, but I would have cropped it so the sign would be on the right part of the frame. Arrow pointing in.

Also, is that gun shots?

Nice shoots mate,
the first one doesnt do it for me, harsh light, some spots are blown out.

#2 I like that sign...
any idea why on hell someone would shoot it?? is it something common?
that's a shotgun round and another high caliber gun hits, at this spread it was defiantly intentional and not a stray bullet lol
it sure makes an interesting subject though! texture and color! i would as Rivest said, put it on the right side to utilize the arrow direction.
#3 i think its beautiful
#4 its the usual formation of their flight just pointed straight up, I'd try to rotate it and create a bit more interesting composition,
#5 Is that a signature using a flashlight? its a cool idea, and for the first attempt i think its more than acceptable

Thanks for the helpful comments.

Yes those are bullet holes. Where I live, which is in a rural province in Canada, population is minimal, especially in our farm areas, and it's more common to see bullet holes in signs than to see signs without bullet holes. When you're hunting, or you're bored and want to kill time, they make good target practice for people I guess. Some signs are a lot worse than this, this one just happened to be on my ATV trail and caught my eye.

Any other comments? Do you think my focus on #5 is off? I tried to make this for my wife using a flashlight and was glad that it's readable, but it almost looks out of focus to me. Is it actually out of focus or is it just the results of this technique (8 second exposure and a bright flashlight)?
