My grandson has asked me to take a "good" picture of his mustang. Since I haven't done any serious car photography before, I thought I'd better find a couple of locations and take a few test shots using my 350Z. I'd be interested in your comments and critique as to which shot might be best.

Since when is the 350z an offroad car ? ;)
#1 seems like a snapshot, some random bushes and grass in front of the car.
#2 love the colors in this pic, the only "problem" is the green/yellow reflection from the grass on the wheels.
#3 nice angle but the background is a bit distracting.

Take the car to the place where it should be THE ROAD instead of the walk in the park ;)
But #2 is my favorite !

I really like #2 personally. Number one the background seems to take too much attention away from the car. Number 3 is good, but my eyes are again drawn up towards the water since it is brighter rather than to the car.

Nice car, btw. My fiancee would be very envious of you. She loves 350's and she loves yellow.

Ok, maybe if you posted a Volkswagen Beetle there'd be some irony to this thread.

that looks like a zenki (pre-06) model, yet sporting the kouki 18" wheels.
what year is that?

I like #2 the best. I personally don't like the background.
A shallower DoF would work better maybe? I don't know

Personally, I'd rather see this background, than one in a garage somewhere? ;)
Good start here, but I see two problems:
1. Something off to the right is reflecting in the side, &...
2. The reflections in the hood would be cleaner on a blue sky day without clouds. See the links in my Sig and...

bigpow - you lost me on the zenki and kouki - it's a 05 as it came from the factory - at least from the dealer
