It's a novelty lens. Optical performance is worse than the current 50L. And performance at f1.0 is almost unusable.

Whoever bought the 1200mm lens should have demanded this to be thrown into the deal.

Does it have the same focus shift issues as the current 50L!? if not it might just be worth the price ^_^

I kinna want it. I ve been for a lookout for a good 50mm prime with a canon mount. I tested everything so far apart from this lens. lol. if it doesn't have any focus issues than I don't care about the sharpness. I mean ... it can't be worse than Zeiss 50m f/1.4 lol ^_^

I was just putting this up as an FYI.....I'd love the lens, it doesn't have the "shift" issues of the current 50L......:)

Which goes to show there is little or no value in using dealers when buying (or selling) used equipment in the age of the internet. They are just middlemen who offer you less than you can get when you sell privately and ask more than you can buy for privately.

On new equipment we buy from them because the manufacturers won't sell to us directly but on used equipment, they really serve no purpose.
