I understand where the seller is coming from. But you also have to look at the fact that he provided a 3 day refund on the listing. Being an ebay seller myself, I myself feel it is best if you offer a return, that you wait until the return period is past before removing the money.

To me it is not worth a poor rating or possible complaints "if" something were to go wrong. Which in this case it did.

I've never been in this position before and so far I am happy with Monday. But when there is a problem with something purchased, I would expect a prompt reply. Especially after we have spoken via phone.

I won't get into a philosophical debate here, but the seller did nothing wrong. He's not required to keep funds in paypal. I'm not a big fan of paypal myself. And in some cases, there are people who need the money they get to pay the bills. I don't expect them to leave money sitting in limbo without just cause. If someone would seriously rate a seller poorly just because it takes 2-3 days to transfer funds from a bank account to paypal, then I wouldn't want that person as a buyer ;) 99.99% of the time I have perfect transactions, but every once in a while the pickiest sort end up making the biggest deal out of nothing... Those are the sort you say "thanks, but no thanks" to.
