Was curious what you guys feel about the colors. I left it purposefully warm. Thanks for the CC :)

I think it's a nice shot that shows her character. It's normally a problem when you mix light sources. Here you have skylight from the window and tungsten (or is it fluorescent?) from the room. Some photographer would criticize the light mix, but it blends well here. I'm not particularly happy about the bright window and blinds being in the shot. It draws the eye away from the subject.

I like this shot as well, great expression capture. As stated the brightness of the window is distracting. Ways to fix that are crop, burn or clone. Each of these have their pros and cons though.

1. Crop...As you can see the crop takes the window out, but the lap top now is an "unexplained" block in the entire corner...doesn't really work.

2. Burn...burning the window darkens the brightness of it, but IMO it is still a distraction and looks unatural.

3. Clone...IMO this is the best option. It helps carry out your "warmth" theme and removes the distraction entirely. Now this was a quik edit and more detail could be taken around edges, but you can see my train of thought here.

Not saying these are what to do or not, just giving you something to consider.

Canon Stuff...

White balance is off probably due to light mix someone else mentioned.

Is the thing in front of her supposed to be brown? It looks like a laptop and I'm guessing it was originally black.

You know, sometimes I think pictures work, flaws and all. This is one of those. You captured your friend in a nice, lighthearted moment. It's a shot you should be proud of. I wouldn't change a thing.

I tend to agree with this. You've captured a great expression.

I love the window on the original image. It tends to take my eyes to it and it then looks for the subject. To me, it adds a little twist on the image. Warmth is inviting and shows her personality.

Love the expression on her and I think that you should leave the pic as it is.
