Hello all.
I just received my first photobook from Adorama. I had a guestbook done by Blurb a few months ago but that's for another topic. Anywho, it's my first photobook that's photo quality paper. I do like their service and for the price, it's pretty reasonable. I emailed them few days ago and they seem fast to reply and very courteous. So I'm just wondering if this is some sort of normal when making albums. The album is 12x12 btw.
*One of my pages were the cake cutting event. same settings, my 2 other OCF were in the same location but 2 out of images out of 12 has noticeable noise.
*candid shots on one whole spread. about 20 images. maybe 2"x3" printed size. one has a really bad noise.
*there's most but this is the main concern.
So is this normal? esp this is supposed to be photo paper. btw, I printed 5x7 of the same exact image file using my Pixma 9000 MKII and it came out fine.

I edit it using their browser based album manager. My main monitor is a viewsonic IPS calibrated using Spyder 3. even when I view on my secondary monitor which is also calibrated, it seems fine.
Thank you very much

I have used Adorama 4 or 5 times. I never had a problem with random noise. I had one issue with a weird artifact in the image on the upload. If I proofed it better I would have caught it.

Adorama has great customer service and I suggest you contact them:)

Thank you for the response. yea they said it's not their end and I'm trying to trouble shoot what could have happened.
Btw, did you use their browser based editor?
I'm thinking maybe next time just make every page from photoshop instead of their editor.
it's just hard to experiment when each book is costing me $170 (12x12 with uv coating and shipping)

I used their browser based editor. I was happy with the results. Largest book I did was 9x12 and the 12X12 are not cheap.
It is certainly easier to use photoshop rather than upload EVERY image and design.
I just bought Lumapix Pro ..OH MY !!!! What an AMAZING album design program. I will be designing in Lumapix and then uploading to the album site.

I am looking at http://www.zookbinders.com/ (external link) for albums too. Prices are reasonable. What I like about this album company is that they send you test prints back for your approval of the album.

Good luck

Ed
