The bright sunlight was a bit harsh for these shots. Wondering if I should have taken a lower viewpoint.

Don't know about "lower", Ken, but I'm not a fan of 3/4 shots.
With the more recent central badge, I'd personally try to distort that with a front-on shot using something ultra-wide...just for starters.
And perhaps a shot where you are lying near one of the tires?
Or with the doors open and lights on full-beam?
Just play with it more....

Regards,
Simon

I don't have an ultra wide

I'm not a big fan of them except for an occasional specialty shot. The kids love the "WOW!" shots, but they don't make the car look very good in most cases.
You might have bothered to turn the wheel in #2?

You could use your 15-85mm on the lowest end. That would distort it a decent amount.

Like JMartel said, 15mm should be enough...give it a go.

True enough Frank, but I'm thinking more about extending the lines, rather than curving them! This could have given the Merc a more sleek look and feel than the current shots from Ken, which in all honesty, he could have produced with a P&S camera.

Just a little exaggeration is all I'm meaning....
Regards for now,
