I bought my XT 2 weeks ago body only and received my 70-200mm f4 Wednesday. Thanks to you guys I have a combination I'm very happy with. I also ordered 2 batteries from Sterlingtek that should be here by Tuesday. I'm going to a big race in Commerce, Ga Labor Day weekend and can't wait to use it. Once again everybody, thanks for all the helpfull advice you have given me:D.

I've been using my wife's card. I'm too embarrassed to say the size. I will pick up one for me Sunday. Fry's has a 2G on sale for $99(PQ1).

I checked www.outpost.com (external link) , which is the Frys web site. They have PQI cards that are 40x. I think this would be fast enough. So make sure its the 40x card. If its 4x you will be unhappy.

Is this the one?

I have a 45x lexar that is just a dream. Going faster is just not worth the cost.

Congrats on two great purchases. You will be surprised at how fast you go through CF cards, especially if you shoot in continous mode. That 2GB should be fine for you.

That's what I'm talking about. You guys are the best. I wasn't even thinking about write speeds. Now I'll look for 40x or faster.

The 80x Lexars are my default card despite the 'issue' that affected them used with Canon DSLR's. The problem is with cards up to certain serial number so check their web site. I would get 2x 1GB rather than 1 x 2GB of whatever brand you choose. More flexible and allows for one going kaput!!

Congrats on two excellent purchases. That 2GB Kingston Pro Elite CF will serve you find. You will be surprised how fast you can fill a card, especially if you shoot in burst.
