Water Lily and dragon fly

These were shot near Buffalo Pass which is a 4WD road that goes east of Steamboat Springs Colorado through the Mt. Zirkel wilderness. I used the 100-400L handheld. I am beginning to understand how hard it is to get good shots of dragonflies!

You managed a nice clean shot of this dragonfly here, so it must be possible:) The lily pad makes a great perch here and it's very clean and sharp image, I cannot find that species in any of my books but then my books are more central species then western. The fly on the blooms is a little small though wish you could have gotten it larger in the frame here and at the same time included more of the flower.
