I'm an F-16 crew chief with the 162FW in Tucson, AZ I finally talked the PAO to let myself and a group of other photographers out on the runway to capture our pilots at work. Here are just a small sample of what I got. Jay Beckman was one of the photographers with me and after looking at his I don't want to post these cause well....he's better than me

That's great stuff; nice of you to help make that opportunity happen, too.

Thanks guys. I have a lot more of the pilots up close. They really did enjoy us being out there yesterday. Now I need to track them down at work and give them a copy.

Don't short change yourself... These are good shots! Especially like the "Show Your Guns" capture.

That was awesome that you worked that out with the PAO for you and some fellow photogs.

Great set and wonderfull to have such privleged access :D Not a shabby one in the set!

I have a question? What is it with the two seater variant, is it a trainer or a role variant 'type' compared to the single seater?

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Very nice, now I feel jealous. Excuse me while I go kick myself for not taking more when I was still in :-)

And I love that canopy glass on the f16. What a view they must have.

Mainly used for training here but the backseat pilot normally takes care of radios and navigation on certain missions. It all depends on how the aircraft is setup.
