Still more from the Lincoln Park Zoo. This was my first opportunity to photograph meerkats. It's a good thing the San Antonio zoo doesn't have any, as that would probably be the only exhibit I'd make it to all day long. They're so cool to watch.

Those little guys have so much attitude shown in their faces that I like them. More zoos are getting them, since the zoo visitors seem to like them, yet they don't cost much to feed.

i too love watching these guys.which means i have quite a few pics of them myself.you captured them well.i never seen one like the third pic.it looks like he isnt starving. i seem to remember them being quite slender

#2 looks as if he (she?) could win the "Best Personality" prize. The eyes are nicely in focus. It'd be nice if the nose was focused as well, but them's the breaks on snouted critters ;)

I have a Cannon with me at all times. You can't take the shot if you don't have something with which to shoot. :rolleyes:
