I love my smugmug. The site is easy to use, the prints from Bay Photo are fabulous, and you cannot beat the online storage. I have everything backed up into private, password protected galleries in addition to the public galleries that I sell from. One more level of protection for my originals.

I don't see why it wouldn't let you import so many photos. As a Smug Pro user your storage is unlimited.
There have been some huge updates in the past year that you'll want to check out. You kind of have to dig for information on Smug though, it's not out there, in your face. They have an information wiki that they update regularly, and an entire forum- Dgrin.com
It's a bit of reading but it's worth it to scan over and pick out what details you can use most.
I like one of the updates they did recently to allow Branding on your items. You can sign prints, and also the shipping packaging can be branded with your logo and optioned to include a thank you card from you. It's great.

Never said it wouldn't let you import so many photos :)

Can't wait to see the images from Bay

The way you laid out the email convo with SM made me think you were still wondering if you would be allowed to move 20,000+ photos over. After re-reading I see what happened.
Happy smugging, and don't forget to sign up for your free strap!

Haha, no worries. 1 day and a few restarts later and I've SmuggLd 22,284 images from flickr.

18 collections, who knows how many sets. Looks like I'll be busy over the next few weeks verifying a few things. Right off the bat a few of the things I've noticed or will have to figure out.

- LOTS of my sets which were private on flickr are now public view
- A few sets are not named correctly, really random stuff.
- Seems as categories equate to the same thing as collections on flickr. Will have to figure out how to organize these.
- Can you set a chosen photo as the default for categories and galleries?

What's this about a free strap mate?!

I signed up over 10 months ago with a pro account and never got a strap. Requested one the week after I signed up.

If you must know...

I put my name in for a new strap and received it like two weeks later. This was last month.
