Two bad receivers at once? Really?

So I finally saved the scratch up and got an Alien Bee B1600. I've mostly worked with small hotshoe flashes and my Skyports have never missed a beat. I had two Genesis 400s that I used them on also and they would randomly turn off if connected to a certain one of the two lights. I figured it was something to do with the lights themselves as they didn't like Cybersyncs either....

So I get my Bee unboxed, juiced up, reflector on....and plug in the Skyport. Two flashes and the (freshly charged) Skyport turns off. I traded them out and got several (10ish) flashes before it stopped firing. The receiver stayed on, but stopped receiving a signal from the transmitter (fresh battery) until it was turned off (took about four button presses to turn it off) and back on. Weird thing is that they still trigger my hotshoe flashes.

Anyone ever had to return Skyports? Where do you send them? These are less than a year old. Would I deal with Adorama, or elinchrom? I've already ordered another set as I need them next week, but I wouldn't mind getting these replaced and just have an extra receiver. I had to get the new "Speed" set. Does the Speed transmitter trigger the older skyport receivers?
