Hi guys

Went back over to UK last month, and as Goodwood was sold out, found the Bedfordshire county steam fair at Old Warden. Was a great day, and a riot of colour. Here are a couple and the link for gallery with 130 pics.
There was a bit of everything here, so enjoy,

Chris

You had some great looking machines there. Love #7. It's just what I could have used to pull the race car around. :D

Goodwood was sold out

Really? How unusual was that?

THanks guys, glad you like them.

@Frank, never been to Goodwood before, so didn't realise they would sell out and not have tickets on the day. I know for next year :-)

That seems strange to me. I've never been to a road track that couldn't squeeze in a few more people, & with the money problems most have today with the costs of resurfacing, etc., it just doesn't make a lot of sense.

Frank, it seems they have a limit, and once it's reached, they stop selling. I wasn't a happy bunny, but the steam fair was a good alternative. Next year I'll order my goodwood tickets online before flying over.

Some interesting looking machines and you have captured them as well as possible at an event like this,I know from bitter experience that getting a clean background is virtually impossible

Thanks Captain. Yep, gave up very early on a clean background and just took the pics of the subject and ignored its surrounds. Also had the problem with over 140 engines at the show, most of them running, a lot of smoke and steam around. It was like looking through mist a lot of the time. Thankfully, these things are really colourful :-)
