It was youth night at our local varsity game. I have taken the year off from refereeing this year and have spent a lot of time w/ the family. I was on the field for the game, but left after the first quarter. My 300 2.8 was on loan to a buddy of mine, so I tackled these (yes, cheesy pun) with the 70-200 2.8 on the MkIIn. These were not flashed

Pretty nice action there, Kevin. Don't be afraid to crank up that ISO until you're getting at LEAST 1/500 on the shutter. Can't see you EXIF data on the shots, but they look significantly lower than 1/500. I like to keep the shutter at 1/640 when the field is only illuminated by artificial lighting ... which is every game now!

Also, the cycling of the lights cause some WB issues. Make sure to check that. #1 appears to be a bit on the 'rosey' side of things where #5 looks really good.

Dave,
iso3200 is as high as the MkIIn will go. 1/500th is all I could get out of it. I will be shooting w/ proper gear tomorrow. I have my 300 back and will be using flash. I'l post 'em up when I get back.
