I posted this on our little local thread and completely forgot about this section. Shot just over a week ago, Bitterne is pulling the Cathedrals Express from Waterloo to Bristol, via the south coast. This section of track is pretty flat, so not much smoke I'm afraid. The sense of power as she came past was amazing.The diesel electrics might be faster, but are not in the same league for "presence".
1/60s @ f/11, using 300mm on AI Servo. I tend to shoot moving objects from a monopod and this is no exception.
I am constantly struggling to find new shooting locations. So anyone with any local knowledge? I've got a couple of spots others have told me about still to test out.
