New to the site and saw this thread. Just got myself a new G12 for my underwater photography. I have it housed in a Recsea housing and use twin Sea & Sea YS 27 strobes.

Here is a shot from the weekend.

Thanks RMH and Mike. The location I took the shot is magic most evenings with the light and clouds as they pile up against Vancouver's north shore mountains. Love this G12 it goes with me everywhere.

I'd be interested to know if it is :P Maybe just generic airport (or similar) seats?

I've only flown once, to BC and back last month to go to Sun Peaks, so would be coincidence if it was in fact Calgary :P

Can you point me in the right direction for that housing? Looking for something to protect the G in my WW Kayak. Great shot BTW.

Can anyone tell me..

is the G12 'pocketable', at least in, say, a jacket/coat pocket: a shirt top pocket is obvously a no-no. Am seriously tempted by this G12, but it MUST be pocketable.

If not, looks like the LX5 is a contender ()

Don't dare try one in the dealer's, 'cause I know what will happen..

Thanks

Derek

WOW.....for $1,099.00 it better cook me breakfast.

It does look very solid though and I suspect you get what you pay for.

Derek,

I can carry mine in the inside pocket of my jacket. That pocket in my jacket is large enough to hold an iPhone and two packs if cigarettes, or one full size hand held 2-way radio to give you an idea of size.
