I ran across this picture on flickr and noticed the pop of a full frame, but yet with a crop sensor. Thanks in advance.

Learn how to work a bounced flash well enough and it doesn't matter whether you have a cropped camera or a FF camera. The pop isn't from the sensor, but the lens and lighting as well as any PP that he used on the image. -Aaron Brown

tonylong ...winded More info | Oct 17, 2010 21:16 | #4 I assume that you are referring to the background blur/selective focus, which we normally associate with a wide aperture on a wide lens such at the 85 f/1.2 or the 50 f/1.2. Now yeah, people talk about the fact that shooting with a full frame gives you some extra "room" there, that is a narrower slice of focus and more blur. Tony

I'm not used to checking out Flickr stuff! That is a lot of blur for f/2.2, but with 30mm the photog would have had to get close to get that shot, so it was probably good for that without Photoshop blurring, ya think? Yep, focus distance was 19 inches, DoF was 0.4 in. front and back. Elie / אלי
